Gareth Roberts - Working Locally For
You
Gareth Roberts, Green
Party candidate for Gleadless Valley says "If we all take small
steps to live a greener life, together we will make a big difference."
To live greener, Gareth
started to cycle or take the bus, shop at local shops, grow food
on the allotment, recycle and compost. He even fitted loft insulation!
In 2007 Gareth won the Sheffield Telegraph Citizen Environment Award.
He wants to inspire others to take those small steps that make a
big difference.

"More people know about green issues.
People are being greener. This is a good thing. It is a step in
the right direction. BUT - everyone must work harder, and we must
work together. More action is needed to change how we all live.
It's our future."
Gareth is 31, married
and lives in Meersbrook. He teaches part-time and is a self-employed
business manager. Gareth is a member of the Green Party,
supports local community action and identifies with green and left
