Councillor for Central Ward
Rob is 39 years old and works as a heating engineer.
He has been campaigning in Central Ward for over 5 years and has
helped Cllrs Creasy and Little with their work in the council and
on the doorsteps. As the party's Transport Spokesperson, Rob has
campaigned for new pedestrian crossings, protection and regulation
of bus services and been involved in
the 2008/9 budget negotiations.
Rob says "I have two young children and
I want a better world for them. That starts now, from tackling crime
and litter, to reducing road accidents and pollution. I know the
area and its issues. I've spoken to hundreds of people on the doorstep
and feel I could represent your views. Being elected to the
council would give me more time and influence to work on your behalf.

Green Action in Sheffield |
 |
|
Sheffield has a 'hung' council with no party
in overall control. This has enabled the
Green Party to get these proposals into the 2008/9 budget :
- 10 extra pedestrian crossings (including one
on London Rd)
- A citywide bus service on New Year's Day.
- Recycling 'bring banks' within walking distance
of most Central Ward households.
- Extra funding for the South Yorkshire Energy
Advice Centre in Heeley
- Help for small businesses affected by City
Centre developments
These have been achieved with an assurance of
no cuts in front line services.

It's between us & Labour
The Green Party holds two of the three seats in your
ward. Jillian Creasy and Bernard Little have achieved a huge amount for
local people.
A third councillor would enable us to do even more.
The Lib Dems have always finished in 3rd place in Central
Ward. This year the
remaining Labour councillor is retiring, giving Rob Murphy a great chance
to be elected as your third Councillor.
If you've ever considered voting Green, NOW IS THE
TIME.
