Greens call to investment in energy saving

Sheffield Central Green Party Parliamentary Candidate Bernard Little said, "Simply telling consumers to switch supplier is not the answer. Reducing energy use and investing in energy conservation is the best way of cutting fuel bills.

The Government has failed to adopt high energy conservation standards in buildings, plan a low carbon local economy and cut the need to travel. With more and more demands being made on limited fossil fuel supplies, high energy prices here to stay and we have to get used to it. Failure to plan ahead means the most vulnerable in our communities are going to face further poverty".
